  • Your primary assignment is DUOLINGO, at least 10 minutes of daily practice. If you have completed DUOLINGO, please explore another free online Spanish program such as learner.org/series/destinos-an introduction-to-Spanish 
  • Some other free online Spanish courses are Babbel, Open Culture, Learn a Language, Mango Language and Transparent Language. If you find another free Spanish language program, please email me!
  • I will request in late April and May that your parents email me to confirm that you've practiced daily on DUOLINGO or another online resource. 

Due to information from the news about the Zoom platform, we have decided to not have Zoom meetings for now. I will keep you posted as of when the first meeting will take place. In the meantime, please, continue e-maling me your questions.

We will work in a family Power Pint Presentation in class. The project is due

Today we wrote a draft about your family members

We will begin to work on the project tomorrow with the computers.

Family Project     Due Date: August 30th  

You will create a PowerPoint about your family (4-6-minute presentation, include many photos…your job is to describe your family for the class. 

Use of class time is part of your grade. 

Requisites: 

First Slide: Greet the class/Your name and the name of your family, (Me llamo/Soy/mI  familia es  (last name),  

The amount of family members, (hay x miembros en mi familia) 

Second slide: List your family members: (es mi madre, es mi...) 

Third slide: Describe each member of your immediate family, (you can use cognates or other adjectives)/Mi madre se llama..... , Include the age of each family members, (mi madre tiene  40 años, mi padre tiene x años 

Forth slide: say goodbye using one of the forms learned in class. 

Grading Rubric:

WE WATCHED A VIDEO ON THE PRONOUNS AND DID A SERIES OF ACTIVITIES IN CLASS. THIS VOCABULARY WILL NOT BE IN YOUR TEST ON THURSDAY. ONLY THE VOCABULARY ON PAGE 51 WILL.

 

MONDAY OCTOBER 4

WE BEGIN TO STUDY ORDINAL NUMBERS: HOW TO COUNT TO ONE MILLION AND HOW TO SPELL THE NUMBERS IN SPANISH, AND SOLVE EQUATIONS USING THESE NUMBERS.

WORK ON BOOK ACTIVITIES AND OTHER SUPPLEMENTAL ACTIVITIES.
